HISTORY

The People That Love Center was founded in the early 1980's in the basement of a private home, as an outreach to the members of Door of Hope Community Church, known at the time as Foursquare Gospel Church.

In 1985, it moved to its current location in a small white house located at 2012 S. Goyer Road, next to the church, and opened its doors to the public.

Directed and operated by volunteers, the People That Love Center receieves no funding from members of Door of Hope Community Church.

It receieves donations of food from local businesses and agancies, and receieves donations of clothing and household items from the general public.

POLICIES

The People That Love Center helps families as often as once every three months. Applicants must provide current ID that includes social security number.
the People That Love Center will provide, frre of charge:
--Once every other month, a two-to-three-day supply of food.
--Once every other month, used clothing -- including shoes, coats, and other miscellaneaous items.
--Once every three months, as available: used bedding, kitchen and household items, toys, baby formula, diapers, baby food and other baby items, paper products, and personal hygiene products.

VISION

We purpose to be an aid, in Jesus' name, to:
--Our church family.
--The public, especially people who:
   1. A getting established in a house or apartment.
   2. Have no income or are short of funds.
